The Hildenborough Road Races are a long-standing event in this picturesque Kent village, 2015 marked the 30th year since the first event was held.
The event brings many people together from far and wide, all in the name of raising money for local causes including schools, clubs and charities, whilst keeping to the events ethos of being fun for all the family.
The races are held annually on the first bank holiday Monday in May.
We are proud of our efforts to provide something for everyone, with races to suit all abilities, directions from friendly marshals and lots of water stations for those who take part.
The races themselves comprise road races of 10 mile, 5 mile and 2.5 mile, with 1/4, 1/2 and 1 mile off-road races for those aged 11 and under around the recreation ground.
The races are organised by a core team of local residents who all share the same enthusiasm for the continous running and growth of the event:
Pat Davies, Ian Kury, Mark Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Chris Taylor, June Cooke, Dick Sharp
“Lovely local race which was meticulously organised and brilliantly supported... Brilliant race, would do it again next year.”
